3 long months…

Hi there!

It’s been 3 long months since I’ve posted anything, but I have scrapped once during that time!

We’ve been busy selling and then buying a house, and now packing for our move!! It really has taken up all my time.  Mostly because the timeline between selling and moving was only about 5 weeks!

Anyway, here are 3 layouts I completed over a month ago I wanted to share with you.  Looking back on them, they have actually inspired me to get my scrapbooking table set up as soon as I can after our move! 😀I used Bella Blvd.’s “Alex” collection for this layout some of their black enamel dots.  I also broke out some Creative Embellishment chipboard circles.I kept working with the “Alex” collection for the second layout also because it was my newest collection and I was excited to use something new!! The flair is from Accent Scrapbooking. And for the third layout, I just used up some scraps I had of some older Bella Blvd. lines along with some of their older washi tape.  The wooden Chevrons and man figure are from Creative Embellishment also.I apologize for the quality of the photos but the sun was fading and I have already packed my light box! 😉

Happy scrapping!

Playing along at Paper Issues…

Hi everyone!

I found some time to scrapbook today and I finished a layout for a challenge over at Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook page.  The challenge was “Stash Busting”!  So I went through all my papers and found some really old Basic Grey papers I still had and used those.  The papers are from the “Hey You” and “Hey Boy” collections.

dscn4132I used some older embellishments and stickers I had too.

dscn4137And I found some flair from Accent Scrapbooking that worked perfectly with the page!

dscn4136I also took the opportunity today while digging through my stuff to do a purge! I’ll be donating papers, stickers and embellishments I haven’t used in a few years. Nothing like a good purge to help make room for some new stuff!  😀 I’m going to wait until CHA is over though, to see what new collections come out.

It’s the weekend so  I hope you’ll have a few hours get creative!

Happy scrapping!

First 2 of the New Year…

Hi there!

So, here are the first two layouts I completed of the New Year!

For the first one, I followed a sketch over at Stuck?!Sketches.  You can find the sketch here. I always find their sketches VERY inspiring!

I used my new “Classic Christmas” collection from Simple Stories for this layout.

I fussy cut a couple of Poinsettia and leaves and popped one Poinsettia up for extra dimension.  I also added some Stickles to the centers of them.dscn4126

And for 2017 I’m going to try and journal a bit more on my pages – tell more of the story.

For my second layout I joined in a challenge over at the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group.  TONS of inspiration and fun challenges!  You really should head over and ask to join!

This layout is for the “Roll the Dice” challenge and you had to use 5 photos and 4 different types of alphas on your page.dscn4107I used up the last of my Simple Stories “Hello Fall” papers (I might have a few scraps left that I won’t part with yet! LOL) along with some papers from the Shimelle “Go Now Go” collection I picked up at the Paper Issues store and a little Echo Park “I Love Family”.dscn4112The chipboard word “fun” is from Creative Embellishments.  I just ordered a bunch of chipboard words from them! My new favourite thing I think! 😉dscn4116And I found some flair from “A Flair for Buttons” that worked perfectly on this page.

Well, I have a few errands I have to run today, but when I get back I’m going to sit down and scrapbook some more! Paper Issues has a new challenge on their blog today that encourages you to use your stash!! Who doesn’t have old stuff to use up??  😀

Happy scrapping!

Happy New Year…

Happy New Year everyone!

I personally am glad 2016 is over.  It was a very challenging year for myself and my family and I really feel that affected my creativity.  I struggled in that area a bit.

I wanted to share my favourite 16 layouts from 2016 but I didn’t even scrapbook that many!   But here are a few that I love.

This year will be different though! I’m already done my first page of 2017! Once I get the pictures taken, I will share it with you (and any others I get done today!)  I participated in a challenge over at Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook page.     If you are not a member yet, you really should join! They are such a fun group of ladies.

So off to work on layout #2!  For this one, I’m going to follow the new sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches.  You can check it out here!

Happy scrapping!

Weekend scrapbooking…

Hi there!

I got together with a few friends a couple of weekends ago to scrapbook and managed to get a few pages done.

I participated in a couple of challenges to help me along.

For the first layout, I followed a sketch over at Stuck?! Sketches.  You can find the sketch here.

dscn4032I used up some older Bella Blvd. papers and embellishments that I had purchased from Paper Issues a while back. I also used some super cute wooden eye glasses I found over at Creative Embellishments!

dscn4043For my next layout, I participated in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} “Take 5” challenge.  I had bought some new goodies from the Paper Issues store and I was excited to use them!  The page didn’t turn out exactly as I had envisioned, but I like it enough that I won’t re-do it!! LOL!!

dscn4047I used products from the Shimelle “Go Now Go” collection.

dscn4045I cut out and popped up some buildings from a piece of paper for some additional dimension.

dscn4046For my last layout, I kept it a simple and just used some random word stickers I had and the odd embellishment here and there.  I also used the ticket stubs I had from the CN Tower.

dscn4052I also printed out a CN Tower and placed it beside my title.

dscn4051Well today is Christmas Eve, so I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years!

I hope you find a little time during the holidays to get creative!

Happy scrapping!

Time for Christmas cards…

Hi everyone!

Recently I had the honour of designing a Christmas card for May Arts Ribbon.  It’s a super cute and easy card you can make in no time at all. Great if you need a last  minute card or you have a TON you have to  make!

I used some adhesive ribbons (Yup! I said “adhesive” ribbons.  How cool it that??!!) , a little bit of red sheer ribbon and their washi tape to create cute little Christmas trees.dscn3806-materials-copy-2Head on over to their blog and check out the tutorial!

Happy scrapping!

Stuck?! Sketches challenge…

Hello everyone.

Today I’m sharing with  you a layout I completed following a sketch from Stuck?! Sketches.

I used my new Echo Park  “I Love Family” collection and kept it pretty simple.

The area on the sketch that was designated for journalling, I instead created a long title that pretty much sums up the photos.

I created a few embellishments using my Epiphany Crafts Round 25 tool and added some enamel dots for a bit of dimension.

If you would like to participate in this challenge and have a chance at winning some cool prizes, head on over to Stuck?! Sketches today!

Happy scrapping!
